Lauren Prichard of Fenton, Mo., selected as a peer mentor at Missouri Baptist University

Lauren Prichard has been selected as a peer mentor for first-year students at Missouri Baptist University this fall. Prichard is a junior from Fenton, Mo., who is majoring in music education.

Peer mentors play an important part in helping first-year students transition into college. In addition to offering encouragement and guidance, mentors co-facilitate small group sessions of 20-22 students as part of Collegiate Seminar, MBU's first-year orientation class. Mentors are chosen each year after a selective application and interview process.

Missouri Baptist University is a Christ-centered university located in Saint Louis.
